Antique Georgian Victorian solid 10k gold genuine garnet repoussé necklace

This incredible and highly detailed piece dates to the late Georgian/early Victorian period, circa approximately 1840 and consists of hammered sheets of extensively tested solid 10 karat yellow gold with oxidation and tarnishing that can be attributed to the alloy it is mixed with. It is in very good condition with a couple of flaws to note-one link has a break in the upper embossed portion resulting in a bend that I don't dare attempt to correct myself. It is still secured by the lower sheet. The dramatic front of this piece features a crimped bezel-set genuine garnet and gorgeous swag chain and may have suspended another hanging piece as evidenced by the tiny jump rings left behind. The box clasp still functions perfectly after all this time. Length is 17" and weight is 9.48 grams. Please see photos for front measurements in inches.
